LEAP Housing is an Idaho-based nonprofit who believes all people deserve an opportunity to access a safe, stable and affordable home. LEAP’s mission is to develop and preserve affordable housing while providing empowering services that lead to greater housing stability.
How they help you
LEAP works directly with faith communities through our YIGBY program (Yes in God's Backyard). In LEAP’s search for avenues to build and preserve affordable housing, we discovered that churches around the Treasure Valley hold over 180 acres of underutilized land. That’s more land than the Boise State campus! We’re seeking to partner with faith communities throughout Idaho who have surplus/underutilized land, and dreams of using it to serve God's kingdom. LEAP takes care of all the hard stuff—funding, designing, building, and renting or selling. All we need is a willing church partner to say “Yes!"
