Emmanuel Christian Seminary at Milligan is a graduate seminary of higher education located in Johnson City, TN, that provides theological training for women and men preparing to serve the church in various forms of congregational leadership. As a Stone-Campbell seminary committed to the restoration of Christ's global Church to the New Testament's spiritual vitality, we offer our students a unique blend of strong academics, commitment to serving both locally and globally, practical ministry training and support, and Christ-centered community that encourages lifelong discipleship. For the past 60 years, we have trained ministers, chaplains, teachers, missionaries, and Christian leaders who model and foster faithfulness in a variety of professional vocations.

Emmanuel Christian Seminary at Milligan offers the following ministry programs: Fully-Online, customizable, one-year ministerial or theological graduate certificate programs. Hybrid-Online, cohort-driven, three-to-four-year graduate ministry degrees featuring a synthesis of asynchronous online education, live virtual meetings and collaborative projects, and occasional one-week intensive residential units. Hybrid-Online, three-year doctoral degree that emphasizes ministry renewal within a cohort of experienced ministers. Residential graduate ministry and theology degrees, offering concentrations in numerous pastoral and academic areas of focus. Emmanuel Christian Seminary at Milligan also conducts the following: Connects active students to internship and residency opportunities with trusted ministry partners. Connects young Stone-Campbell ministers with experienced spiritual mentors. Facilitates collaborative initiatives between local Christian congregations. Hosts spiritual retreats and offers vocational support through our Ministry Resource Center. Sponsors lectureships and conferences that inform and challenge church leaders. Curates and maintains an archive of Stone-Campbell writings and artifacts, and enriches the Church through access to a vast theological library.
